Well this will be a second start of my blog as I tried to change my password and lost my entire blog. Google needs a DNA sample and various witnesses to reactivate the original.. I tried all that but no go. So here is the restart.
It took over a year from the time Alex was promoted to store manager in Rocky Mountain House that the move was complete.
Moving a canoe business with all its equipment, lumber and canoe forms was a huge undertaking. The lumber alone with forms filled two "B" train truck loads. Getting the lumber ready for shipping required the rental of a fork lift as well as the hiring of 5 amazing students, without their help it just wouldnt have been possible.
Alex found us the most amazing property a total of 4 acres with 4 shops , one of which is perfect for building canoes. Completely heated and ready to go, couldnt ask for anything better.
Having a main shop that is 1500 sq ft, a 2nd one that is 1800 sq ft and the 3rd being 2000 sq ft is wonderful!
Now nothing is stored outside, dry storage for canoes needing repair and restoration work. Also storage for lumber and all the canoe forms, as well as a separte building to be used as a paint and varnish area.
Also the Alberta sun is stunning whether its the dead of winter or any other time. Not to mention those stunning big sky country sunsets.
